Compressor bin is not fit for purpose.

Purchased a £200 kitchen compressor bin.. it has proved to be completely unreliable and useless . Not fit purpose, as when the compressed unit fails (which it did within a month of purchase) the bin cannot then be fitted with a bin bag. Furthermore the small parts of the compressor unit falls into the bin liners and get lost..

Contacted Joseph and Joseph to be completely ignored.

Will not purchase further products from the third rate company.
Would not recommend wasting money on this overpriced, poor quality Bin.

Disappointing response

I bought a JJ toilet brush. It was OK at general toilet cleaning but its design meant that it was no use at all helping to unblock a toilet. I pointed this out to JJ who merely referred me to the retailer who, quite understandably (because the item was used) could not take it back for a refund. Most JJ products are well designed - I don't believe this particular item is fit for purpose.

Appalling customer service

No doubt the quality of the products are good which is why I put up with appalling delivery times and customer service. They take forever (and I mean weeks not days) to respond to email queries and no phone number for customer services. My patience is wearing very thin!
Interestingy within in hours of posting this review I received a response!!!

Very impressed.

Although it took a long time for someone to respond to my email regarding some 'missing parts' to our laundry basket, when Annalise did respond I was blown away by the service! After a couple of emails within days, Annalise offered to send us a replacement straight away. Within a week our new laundry basket arrived with all required parts.
I was very impressed with the service and willingness to send a replacement so quickly.

Courier issues order #540115

I love Joseph Joseph products and have quite a few. I needed to replace some items on my Totam waste bin and ordered them online on 1 April. The process was relatively simple but from there it went downhill. Initially the click and collect outlet I chose was no longer available although still showing on the website; I was then advised to check track and trace on the Shop app which showed as shipped and then in transit without moving for several days. I then found out it was being delivered by Evri (used to be Hermes) and again no indication on their app as to when delivery would be. Luckily I was in when it arrived eventually a week later. I think Joseph Joseph should really look into their couriers and perhaps find a company that communicates better with their customers. I would add that Jemimah in customer service was very helpful.

Fault developed on bin required replacement

My totem bin developed a fault with the lid opening 14 months after use. Contacted JJ and Jemimah organised a credit voucher to repurchase. Sadly they no longer do the colour I had so need to choose an alternative. However, customer service was excellent and issue resolved quickly.

Faulty Trash Can

We had an issue with a Totem trash can 60L and I mailed multiple times with no response. I had thought we would not hear back, and then we received a response asking for the video of the issue and within 48H they replaced the faulty bin. Once we heard from them it was seamless, but the time it took was frustrating.

Warped chopping board and failed…

Warped chopping board and failed ironing board
We have purchased several Joseph Joseph items over the last few years in the belief the products were of a good quality . However “buyer Beware “ we purchased a chopping board set that stores on the back of a door . We put the smaller green board in the dishwasher just once on a light glass wash . The board emerged warped !. The product is listed as dishwasher safe - it is not . Joseph Joseph’s response was to hide behind their guarantee period despite the fact that guarantee periods do not apply to items that are “not fit for purpose as described “.
We also purchased an ironing board which has an unusual leg set up - the legs developed play in the mechanism and the ironing board began to tilt to the point you were always ironing uphill making the item unusable .
We will not buy from Joseph Joseph again now . We bought items in good faith and their customer services don’t seem to be able to grasp principals of honesty integrity and general fair play .

They fail to respond to emails and the phone number doesn’t accept incoming calls

I have emailed Joseph Joseph on 5/4/24 as their courier claimed to have delivered my purchased items on 4/4/24 which was never received, I emailed Joseph Joseph again on 9/4/24 and still not received any response. I then tried to call Joseph Joseph on 0330 124 2038 but unfortunately it rings and an automated voicemail confirms they don’t accept incoming calls, the website doesn’t allow you any other way to contact them other than email. I have now since been advised by the courier DPD that my items reappeared into one of their local depots on 7/4/24 and had to be returned back to Joseph Joseph as the DPD driver had scanned as delivered and the items will have to get a new delivery sticker before it can be resent. I am deeply disappointed and with this being my 1st experience of Joseph Joseph customer service it doesn’t fill me with any d confidence to purchase from their website again.

Would be 5 stars if used a reliable carrier. Evri do not deliver to rural locations.

Full marks to Annalise!

Annalise very quickly sorted out a replacement bin for me after I reported a fault in the bin I had which was within the 10 year guarantee. After some initial confusion with my original replacement and a delay on the problem being sorted she arranged delivery of a new bin within days. So thank you!

to and fro…

After a certain amount of to and fro emails, and some of them written by a JJ AI bot I expect, I finally got Annelise to reply in person and replace the faulty dish rack. In the end commendable service.

40L compact bin faulty lid

Our 40L compact bin had a faulty lid and needed to be replaced under warranty. After contacting Annalise at the customer care department, the replacement item was dispatched within a few days. I could not have expected more.

Claiming under guarantee was easy!

I was so delighted with my recent experience with Peter of Joseph Joseph's customer service team! When the lid on our Totem bin broke, after 8 years, we thought we might have issues claiming on the 10 year guarantee - but instead the experience was a dream! Within a few weeks of sending along proof of purchase & some photos, we were in possession of a brand new replacement bin (it would have been quicker still expect that they were waiting for replacement stock of the bin). Peter was fantastic at keeping us updated all the way through too. Just wonderful!

Fantastic Customer Service

We bought a Totem Compact waste and recycling bin which has worked well until recently when the lid stopped opening properly and would only open up a fraction, as thought the spring was no longer strong enough to lift it.

I contacted Joseph Joseph customer services and have been dealing with Annalise who has been fantastic, very polite and helpful resulting in a new bin being sent out to us.

Problems arise but I always say it's how it's dealt with that matters, and I cannon fault the customer service I have had.

Bad customer service

I bought a shower shelf 3 weeks ago and it doesn't stick to the wall. It wasn't cheap. It has been 2 weeks that I am trying to get an answer from the customer service and I found out to be inexistent. I cannot believe a company as big as this selling online has no customer service to deal with clients buying its products. I am disappointed and left with a bad experience because I chose to buy directly online.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service.

Why do you have such a "high volume of customer enquiries "????

Lots of faults and breakages???

TWO MONTHS AND STILL WAITING for a response to my initial email.

Have sent it again a week ago.

I have a product that is deteriorating rapidly, and is still in the warranty period.

It should not be breaking at all considering you're supposed to be a high quality brand.

No phone line to call, no other recourse.

I will no longer be recommending you to anyone, because the after care is non-existent. Which in my book, is part and parcel of being a good brand.
