Memories and Condolences
for Joseph Connery

Not sure what to say?

My regards and condolences to the whole Connery family, but especially to Pat and Connie. Dr. Joe was my city H.S. principal and during that time he was a bigger than life character. We whispered his name there! In the years since I've discovered he was a big happy, family man and swimmer. I loved the image of him ( '98, Daily Herald) sliding into the pool at an area water park and most recently had the pleasure of seeing him last December,at the WWII re-enactment held on the grounds of the AHHMuseum. Once again, he was smiling.
His strong presence will carry you all through this tough time.
My husband Matt and I (SHS '71)will remember him fondly.

My mother, Mickey Zajac, was Joe's secretary when he was superintendent. I am expressing her sympathy to her family since she is not computer savy. My mother held Dr. Connery in highest regards. I remember her sharing stories when they worked together of what a great guy he was. She sends her prayers and sympathy to you in this sad time.

Dear Pat & Family:

Jeanne & I are sorry to learn of Joe's death. After two weeks in Florida, we arrived home last Friday afternoon. Nick Flessor had left a message on our phone, and when we returned his call we learned about Joe. He was a wonderful person with whom I became acquainted in sept '41 at CTC.

Although we know that death is an inevitable part of life, there is nothing that can really perpare us for this occasion. I hope that you can take comfort in the full and rich life that your father has had. I'm sure that all the individuals who have been touched by his life will help you share all the wonderful memories you all have of him. My deepest sympathy for your loss.
