Mira Sorvino’s Children Remind Her of the Old but Iconic Times and People

The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown was like a dark cloud that hovered around. However, many people found solace in the arms of their loved ones and families.
The same was the case for Mira Sorvino. The Oscar-winning actress dominated the movie industry in the late 90s with movies like Mighty Aphrodite, Norma Jean & Marilyn, Mimic, Lulu on the Bridge, and The Replacement Killers.
The love for cinema runs in her veins, so it is not a surprise that she spent the lockdown with her children, recreating classic movie posters.

Sorvino and her husband, Christopher Backus, have four kids — Mattea Angel Backus, Lucia Backus, Johnny Christopher King Backus, Holden Paul Terry Backus.
Both Sorvino and Christopher are heavily involved in the entertainment industry, which has influenced their kids. While the kids have not started acting yet, they are interested in the field.
The actress shared how she and her kids spent time in quarantine in an interview with the W Magazine. Like most students, Sorvino's children also had online classes and could not meet their friends.
It was making them "really bored and kind of depressed." The Sorvino-Backus family watched classic movies at night, which sparked an idea in the actress's mind.
She had worked with Ryan Murphy on his show Hollywood where they recreated the 1940s Hollywood. She wanted to do the same with her children and asked them if they would be interested in recreating some iconic images.
It was "not hard to convince them at all" since they were highly interested in it. So then they got to work.
Sorvino and Christopher picked the costumes, props and photographed them. Since their older daughter, Mattea recreated Audrey Hepburn's Breakfast at Tiffany's poster, Sorvino did her hair and makeup.
They also featured their rescue kittens, Creamsicle and Hufflepuff, in the photos. After everything was done, Johnny put the posters together using an app.
He morphed the photos with the actual posters and, hence, got the result.
Mira Sorvino's Family
Sorvino was involved with filmmaker Quentin Tarantino in the late 90s. He was her date to the Academy Awards ceremony where she won Best Supporting Actress for Mighty Aphrodite.
The pair called it quit in 1998. Five years later, in August 2003, the actress met Christopher during a charades party hosted by a friend. They got engaged a month after they met.
A year later, they married in a private civil ceremony at the Santa Barbara courthouse on June 11, 2004, and subsequently had a hilltop wedding in Capri, Italy.
Sorvino gave birth to a girl in November 2004. Back then, they did not reveal her name but later told it to be Mattea.
They welcomed a baby boy (Johnny) in May 2006 at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills. Then, on June 22, 2009, the pair were once again blessed with a son.
Holden was born in the same hospital as his brother. His two middle names, Paul and Terry, are after Sorvino's and Christopher's fathers. In an interview with People, Sorvino said that her third pregnancy was more complicated than the first two.
There were life-threatening complications and difficulties, but regardless, Holden was born a healthy boy. Three years later, on May 3, 2012, the pair welcomed their fourth child, Lucia.
