John Hamilton Obituary

Glouster John J. "Jack" Hamilton, 84 of Glouster, formerly of Detroit passed away Tuesday July 19, 2022, at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens. Born December 24, 1937, in Detroit, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Edna Weinamann Hamilton. He is an Air Force Veteran and retired from GN Deperro in Detroit. Jack was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching football.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Geraldine "Gerry" Hamilton of Glouster; sisters-in-law, Patricia Bryja of Arizona, Carol Deras of Arizona, Mary Ann Alexander of Glouster; a brother-in-law, Tom Margalski of Arizona; special nieces, Anita Brunton of Glouster, Amanda Alexander of Glouster, and Angela Gates of Nevada; and several other nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Cecilia Patalon; a brother-in-law, Gerard Margalski; and a special brother-in-law, Chuck Alexander.

Jack's wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. A message of comfort may be sent to the family at www.morrisonfc.com. John Hamilton
