Launch and Range Mission Expert

Key Role:

Architect the complete overhaul of the client's range architecture, infrastructure, and operations model required to enable continued National Security, Civil, and commercial assured access to space. Translate our customer's needs and goals into an executable strategic plan and actions delivering modern solutions to their most pressing problems. Conduct technical analysis, program management, and reviews, and generate and provide proposed courses of action to senior decision makers that shape the future of the mission area. Lead and accelerate change enabling continued industry development in furtherance of U.S. national military, economic, diplomatic, and information objectives. Communicate technical documents and requirements to mission partners and apply current research to advance interconnected technology systems to state-of-the-art concepts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience with DoD agencies or organizations
  • 10+ years of experience with acquisition program management
  • 5+ years of experience with launch and range
  • Experience with Major Range and Test Facility Base, launch safety, program office and industry leaders necessary to facilitate policy and process change
  • Knowledge of DoD and civil policy relevant to space and system test interests
  • Knowledge of space launch and range systems, providers, customers, and emerging trends
  • Knowledge of Architecture Tools, DoDAF architecture structure and products
  • Ability to plan, organize, and develop studies and projects and negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with senior Space Launch Delta personnel or program office positions
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Certification in Program Management or PMP

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
