When John of Kent 3rd Earl of Kent was born on 7 April 1330, in Arundel, Sussex, England, his father, Edmund of Woodstock 1st Earl of Kent, was 28 and his mother, Margaret Wake, was 31. He married Elisabeth von Jülich on 3 April 1348, in London, Middlesex, England. He died on 26 December 1352, in Winchester, Hampshire, England, at the age of 22, and was buried in Greyfriars Church, Reading, Berkshire, England.
