Jennifer Mullin will become the new CEO of FremantleMedia, parent company RTL Group has announced.
From Sept. 1, Mullin will head one of the world’s biggest independent television content and distribution companies, behind global hits like American Idol, America’s Got Talent, The Price is Right as well as scripted series such as Starz’s American Gods and HBO’s The Young Pope.
Mullin will succeed Cecile Frot-Coutaz, who announced in March that she was leaving FremantleMedia to head up YouTube’s Europe, Middle East and Africa operations.
Mullin has been CEO of FMNA, the largest global unit at FremantleMedia, since May 2017. She joined the company in 2005. A TV industry veteran, she has previously worked as executive producer at Paramount, Telepictures and Universal.
