When it comes to keeping their personal lives hush-hush, nobody beats out stars such as Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Kerry Washington or Emma Stone. In fact, they're among the most elusive in Hollywood, conducting their marriages and journeys into motherhood away from the spotlight and off social media.

However, every now and again, these stars share a morsel of their home life, attending high-visibility events and walking the red carpet with their spouses.

And though these ladies may be powerhouses in the entertainment industry, their husbands match their star power — even if it's behind the scenes. Below, find out what the husbands of these super-famous celebrities do for a living.

Emma Stone's Husband Dave McCary

Emma Stone and Dave McCary's talents are the reason they got together. The Easy A actress was hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time in 2016. On her docket? One of the sketches McCary — who was a segment director and writer for SNL at the time — had written.

Needless to say, sparks flew and the two were engaged two years later. They got married in 2020 and welcomed their baby girl, Louise Jean, in 2021.

Jessica Chastain's Husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo

Many may not even know that actress Jessica Chastain is married, but the Oscar-winning actress has been with her Italian husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo since 2012. They wed in 2017 at the Passi de Preposulo family estate, Villa Tiepolo Passi in Italy.

They quietly welcomed daughter Giulietta in 2018 and then son Augustus in 2020.

Though Passi de Preposulo comes from one of the oldest aristocratic Italian families — his lineage dates back to 973 — he has forged his own path, working in high fashion. He got his start at Armani, where he worked as the director of public relations, before moving on to Moncler.

Kelly Rowland's Husband Tim Weatherspoon

Though you might see Kelly Rowland's husband around whenever she makes a public appearance, for the most part, Tim Weatherspoon stays out of the limelight.

The two first met back in the early aughts but didn't start dating until much later. They were engaged in 2013 and wed in 2014 in a private ceremony in Costa Rica.

Weatherspoon, who shares two sons with Rowland — Titan Jewell, 9, and Noah Jon, 3 — works in the entertainment industry as a talent manager.

Jennifer Lawrence's Husband Cooke Maroney

Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney have yet to walk a red carpet together, but the couple has been spotted donning coordinating outfits on various date nights since they got together back in 2018.

They wed in 2019 and welcomed their first bundle of joy, a baby boy named Cy, in 2022.

Maroney, who is a noted art dealer, was previously listed as the Director-at-Large of Gladstone Gallery, a collection of galleries that carries art from the likes of Richard Prince, Anish Kapoor, Matthew Barney and Lena Dunham's father, Carroll Dunham.

Kerry Washington's Husband Nnamdi Asomugha

At the height of her Scandal fame, Kerry Washington managed to sneak away and marry former NFL player, Nnamdi Asomugha, in the summer of 2013. At the time, the pair's relationship was so low-key, people didn't even know they were dating.

Ten years later, not much has changed, except the pair have welcomed two kids — Isabelle Amarachi, 9, and Caleb Kelechi, 7 — and Asomugha has successfully transitioned from football player to Hollywood producer and actor. The father of three (he has a daughter from a previous relationship) has producing credits on films such as Beasts of No Nation, Harriet and The Banker. And in 2020, he starred in Prime Video's critically acclaimed romantic drama, Sylvie's Love.

Tina Fey's Husband Jeff Richmond

Tina Fey's husband Jeff Richmond might not be one for the spotlight, but he's certainly never too far away. In fact, the composer has lent his talents to several of her projects, including Baby Mama, 30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and the Mean Girls reboot. Richmond's latest credit is composing part of the score for Netflix's Girls5Eva.

Fey and Richmond have two daughters: Alice Zenobia, 18, and Penelope Athena, 12.

Sofia Richie's Husband Elliot Grainge

Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge said, "I do" in a lavish ceremony held in the south of France last spring. In January 2024, the star announced that she and her new husband would be welcoming their first baby together — a girl — later this year.

Grainge's father is Universal Music Group chairman and CEO Sir Lucian Grainge and it seems the business prowess has been passed on. Richie's husband is the owner of the 10K Projects record label, which has 18 gold and eight platinum/multi-platinum singles under its belt and garnered Grainge a spot on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in 2020.

Margot Robbie's Husband Tom Ackerly

Margot Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerly are part of a producing team that brought you Barbie.

The two met back in 2013 but didn't start going steady till much later, though they maintained a friendship. They co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment — the production company behind I, Tonya, Birds of Prey and Barbie  — in 2014 alongside their friends Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr.

Issa Rae's Husband Louis Diame

Much like those of her fellow leading ladies, Issa Rae's marriage is also shrouded in mystery — on purpose.

Of the little that's known about her husband, Louis Diame, whom she married in 2021 in the South of France, is the fact that they go way back. He appeared on her web series The MisAdventures of Awkward Black Girl back in the day and, according to ESSENCE, he was once listed as an international banker on a now-deleted LinkedIn account.

Jamie Lee Curtis' Husband Christopher Guest

Jamie Lee Curtis and Christopher Guest have been together for a whopping 40 years and outside of their children and their unwavering love and support for each other, these two lovebirds are bound together by their talents.

Like his famous wife, Guest is also a revered writer/director in his own right with quite the cult following. He previously starred in the 1984 mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap and directed films such as Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, Mascots and For Your Consideration.

Serena Williams' Husband Alexis Ohanian

Alexis Ohanian is not only the man who stole Serena Williams' heart, but he's also a super successful tech entrepreneur. He is known for being one of the founders of Reddit, but has also invested in companies such as Instacart, Patreon, Daily Harvest and Clubhouse.

Ohanian and Williams share two daughters: Alexis Olympia, born on Sept. 1, 2017, and Adira River, born in August 2023.

Aubrey Plaza's Husband Jeff Baena

Aubrey Plaza struck the jackpot when she got together with Jeff Baena back in 2011 as the two are not only husband and wife, but frequent collaborators. Plaza has worked with her writer/director hubby on projects such as Life After Beth, Joshy, The Little Hours and Spin Me Round.

Anne Hathaway's Husband Adam Shulman

Anne Hathaway's husband Adam Shulman is also an actor, but it's his talents as a jewelry designer that'll make you swoon. When proposing to the Princess Diaries actress back in 2012, Shulman decided to make the engagement ring personal by designing it himself.

"He had a very strong vision for what he knew Anne would love," Greg Kwiat, owner of diamond jewelry company Kwiat and Shulman's collaborator, told PEOPLE.

The pair share two children, sons Jonathan 7, and Jack, 3.

Adele's Beau Rich Paul

Though Adele has never confirmed if she and longtime partner Rich Paul are husband and wife, the "Rolling in the Deep" singer referred to him as such during her Las Vegas residency back in September.

Regardless, the two have been super tight-lipped about their relationship, but they first popped up at an NBA game together back in 2021 and shortly confirmed they were an item thereafter.

Paul is a sports agent. Among his top-tier clientele is his longtime friend LeBron James, as well as Ben Simmons and Trae Young. He is the founder of Klutch Sports Group.
