Jason Hughes (born 18 December 1971) is a Welsh actor, best known for playing DS Ben Jones in the ITV crime drama Midsomer Murders and Warren Jones in the BBC TV series This Life.
Hughes joined the National Youth Theatre as a teenager, before going on to study drama at LAMDA, where he won the Alec Clunes Award for Best Actor. When he first moved to London, he shared a house with fellow Welsh actor Michael Sheen. He revealed in 2013 that he gave up Midsomer Murders because of the relentless commute he endured almost every day for ten months of the year which was beginning to affect his health.
