John David Fleck, 82, died April 5, 2024. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Judith Anne (Keller) Fleck, children, Janette (Scott) Combs, Jennifer (Gregory) Fleck, and Jason Fleck, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, seven siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Ruth (Kapanka) Fleck and David Fleming Fleck, and brother David James Fleck.
John was born November 20, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan. The eldest of nine children, he grew up in Farmington. A 1961 graduate of Farmington High, he graduated from Northern Michigan University, and returned to Farmington, raising his family and teaching in the Farmington Public Schools for 41 years where he was recognized as a Hall of Fame Teacher.
