Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard, who’s currently reprising his role as Trevor Spengler in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, revealed who is the scarier villain between Vecna and the Ghostbusters’ newest antagonist, Garraka.

Speaking with GamesRadar+, Wolfhard explained why he thinks Jamie Campbell Bower’s Vecna is much scarier than Garraka. Despite being described as the "most dangerous" villain of the Ghostbusters franchise by director Gil Kenan, Wolfhard believes that Garraka is nothing compared to Vecna’s sinister plots and brutal kills. "They’re both different. [Stranger Things] is more violent. It’s a very different tone," he said. "Vecna is so much more violent and kills and all this stuff. This one's a little more, Garraka is a little more, and I hate to say it, chill [laughs]. I think Vecna’s probably more evil."

At the moment, Wolfhard is still currently in production for the upcoming fifth and final season of Stranger Things, where he’ll be reprising Mike Wheeler for the last time. Like Millie Bobby Brown, Wolfhard recently confirmed that he still doesn’t know how the hit Netflix series would end since the creative team has yet to let them read the script for the final episode. "I would love a Lord of the Rings style happy ending," he revealed. "They're waiting to give us the last episode. We've read up to the second-to-last episode, so we're all on the edge of our seats to find out what the ending is."

Stranger Things Season 5 is created, written and directed by siblings Matt and Ross Duffer, who previously promised fans to give the iconic sci-fi series an ending that hopefully "satisfies everyone." Besides Wolfhard and Brown, the final installment will also feature returning cast members Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Jamie Campbell Bower, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono and Amybeth McNulty. They will also be joined by Terminator vet Linda Hamilton, whose character details remain under wraps.

Stranger Things Season 5 Will Feature a Time Jump

As seen in the previous set photos and videos shared by The Duffer Brothers, it has been seemingly confirmed that Stranger Things Season 5 would indeed include a time jump from the events of the fourth season. The main cast were last seen by fans dealing with the aftermath of Hawkins’ near-destruction. Despite foiling Vecna’s plans, the powerful villain may have found another way to merge the Upside Down into the real world, which was teased at the end of the Season 4 finale. Fans who are eager to learn more about the final season’s secret plan will find Season 5 Easter Eggs in Netflix’s first stage play adaptation of Stranger Things about Vecna’s origins. The prequel play is expected to make its way to Broadway in 2025 after completing its ongoing West End run, which will last until late 2024.
