The place is charming and specially upstairs area with the sky view. It was a Friday night and I think they didn’t have enough servers. Overall experience was good.

Ordered the cheese wheel truffle dish which was $39 per person. Took way too long to prepare, our server for that dish seemed nervous, the two servings we ordered were inconsistent, and the truffle flavour is basically unnoticeable. Felt extremely flavourless and the serving was also much smaller than anticipated. Pasta is cheap. It’s not hard to give customers a larger serving. Had really high expectations for a dish that price, but honestly that dish is worth maybe $39 for two people, not each. Will not return.

I went here on a date, it’s was extremely loud as there was some type of birthday party happening a few tables over. The waiter was awful and not attending to our table accordingly. At the end, at last call he even brought our drinks over and put our previous straws in our new drinks…..

We loved the food! Everything we had was delicious! I would definitely go back. The service was sparse. Our server was really nice but not really around. However, the meal was great!

Yesterday we went to Jacopo for a date night. It was an amazing experience from start to finish! Our waitress, Maeva, was so sweet and kind and helpful and we truly appreciated her kindness! Would definitely come back!

Ambience was nice but very noisy but that's expected when you go anywhere for brunch. As for the food, we went for Easter Brunch and although the menu was varied, it was very basic. Plates were very very ordinary (presentation). We ordered the frittata - came with grilled toast and potatoes, the frittata was tasty but there was no seasoning on the potatoes and the grilled bread was plain. The waffles although generous, it was soaked in fruit compote or what looked like fruit soaked in sugar syrup. It wasn't very appetizing and barely eaten. As for the 3rd course, the pain perdu - it was decent but our pieces were burnt and the rest of the table opted not to take it. We felt bad for our waiter because he saw how half the table didn't want the 3rd course and the mains were barely touched. I'd go back to give it a 2nd chance but not for brunch :(

We tried the 3 courses table d’hôte menu during happening gourmand. Everything was delicious, and they gave us a place near the window as requested. Great experience, will come again!

Great atmosphere, delicious food, wonderful service. Ageric was polite and very courteous. We enjoy the presentation of our meal, "the wheel" very much enjoyed by both of us. Julie was a wonderful hostess attentive to our questions and inquiries. We will surely tell our friends.

We visited this restaurant in March 2024 with a large group. Montreal had its dining experience. Gourmand which provided great value for three course meal. The food was delicious and the ambiance even better. Highly recommend.

Was in Old Montreal for an event with friends and I had made a reservation at Jacopo not knowing what to except. There are so many expensive and bad restaurants in that area catering to tourists that I'm always weary. This was not the case at Jacopo. From the start, our waitress Valentina made us feel welcomed. The taste and quality of the food was outstanding. Will go there again.

Un beau repas d’anniversaire pour moi et une amie. À la fin du repas on nous a fait la surprise d’apporter le tiramisu. Une attention bien appréciée. J’aime beaucoup ce restaurant! La focaccia est délicieuse, le linguine pescatore gouteux! Un grand plaisir d’y être! Merci pour le service attentionné! Un petit clin d’oeil pour le spritz, il est plus joli avec une belle tranche d’orange 🤩

We were surprised this restaurant received such great reviews. We found the staff at the front of the house to be unfriendly. We had requested a table by a window; understandably, it was only a request, but we were placed at the back of the restaurant with no natural light when there were tables available upfront. When we mentioned it to the woman who sat us, she was flippant and walked away. Our waiter was terrific; he did not rush us and was friendly and helpful. Now, onto the food; we ordered some pastries pre-brunch dishes, which were rock hard. Mine was a cheese-filled pastry that my teeth couldn't even bite through. The food quality did not match the price. The restaurant is nicely decorated and in a prime location, which I feel is what we paid for. We paid for the area and not great food. We will not be revisiting this restaurant on our next Montreal trip.

Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our night at Jacobo. The food was mostly good. Our appetizer came with their red tomato sauce, which was delicious , but stone cold. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be served cold as the suppli with it was warm. However, there was no one to tell, or ask about it, as we were ignored throughout our meal. No one came to check on us. There were 4 different staff members who would show up to drop off our items then leave. There was a nonexistent amount of interest in us as customers. Overall, we felt rushed and ignored. A friend recommended this place to us and we left very sad and disappointed.

4th visit to Jacopo and as always the food was amazing, staff was great and service was excellent. I was with customers from California and the really enjoyed their night. they loved the environnement and the location. Such a threat to go, i will comeback for sure. My go to Italian restaurant for any occasion in downtown Montreal.

Ma portion de pâtes à l’agneau était vraiment grosse comparée à la portion de pâtes carbonara. On était à une table pour deux au milieu de deux autres tables (premier étage à gauche de l’entrée) donc c’était très serré. Les serveurs nous collaient et on avait peu d’intimité dans notre conversation car tout le monde pouvait nous entendre.

The Caesar salad was a new addition to the menu since we were last here & it was fantastic! Where did you get the bacon?? Our pasta was delicious as usual & Laura’s service exemplary. A really enjoyable meal.
