"We met when I was 20, he was 24," she later said. "[We] fell in love. We have the same passions and drive for life."

2010: Princess Eugenie reveals her first impression of Jack Brooksbank

Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter shared her first thoughts about Brooksbank in a pre-wedding interview, revealing: "I thought, 'What a silly hat!' And I thought, 'Who's that?'"

In honor of Brooksbank's 36th birthday, Princess Eugenie shared a pair of selfies on her Instagram to mark the occasion. In the first shot, the two are strolling along a path with a backdrop of palm trees. A second snap shows them on a plane sporting face masks.

May 2022: Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank decide to split their time between the U.K. and Portugal

After Brooksbank landed a new job with property tycoon Mike Meldman (one of George Clooney's business partners), the couple decided to split their time between the U.K. and Portugal. Brooksbank previously worked as a brand ambassador for Casamigos, the tequila company founded by Clooney and Rande Gerber — husband of supermodel Cindy Crawford.
