A sharp instinct is needed in the first and second age. But courage and bravery are more necessary if you want to survive and protecting someone.

In 1974 of the Third Age, Sauron commits an action of such scope and reach, that it forces Eru to take a more active hand as the third Age ends, and a new one begins.
Beleriand rises from the sea, long before it was prophecized to, and the continents of the world are rearranged much closer to how they would become much later.
And five 5 Kings and Princes of men are given knowledge and foresight from a future time that is now never to pass.
The first hero of the tale is one of these, one King Arvedui, last king of Arthedain, and in another time, the ancestor of Aragorn II, Ellesar the Elvenstone, king of the Reunited Kingdom.
His quest is simple. Kill the Witch King of Angmar, and remake his shattered Kingdom in a new world.

Summary
The next thing he knew was light, brilliant and golden as if from Laurelin itself. He blinked, shielding his eyes instinctively until they adjusted. The light source was nothing natural like a tree but a great orb of fire which hung in the sky, menacing those below like a great eye. So the Valar did not need his Silmarils after all, it seemed! They had done well enough without.
Fëanor is returned from the Halls of Mandos and placed into the provisional care of his adopted grandson for further healing. He grapples with adjusting to the Fourth Age of Arda and confronting the many elves who are apprehensive about his return. At least his grandson shows some promise.

More than two decades’ story time tell a tale of social collapse, families that grow under one very large roof, battles against past and present traumas, prejudices, and the slow return of the great First Age Elves to the light of day. Eru Ilúvatar had a plan for this world of Arda. Tolkien never elaborated. So a little voice said: "Go finish the Ainulindalë." And we respectively said: "Okay.
