Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson (born February 26, 1980) is an Icelandic actor. He portrays Olaf Haraldsson in the Netflix series Vikings: Valhalla.

Biography[]

Jóhannes was born and raised in Iceland, and partly in the Faroe Islands. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Iceland Academy of the Arts, class of 2005. He is a former resident artist at The National Theatre of Iceland. His first international film role was in Darren Aronofsky's Noah, as Cain. He is best known for his roles on the series Game of Thrones and The Innocents and in the films Atomic Blonde and Alpha. He has had an extensive career in Icelandic musical theatre. He has had roles in Les Mix, Little Shop of Horrors, Hair, Grease, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Jóhannes is married to economist Rósa Björk Sveinsdóttir since 2011. Together they have three children.
