Yeah, they're presets. I find it interesting that the FM dial goes from high to low frequencies left to right.

 The radio is a Blaupunkt "Münster" in Mercedes Benz-trim (turn-knobs and panel). Yes, they are preset-buttons (due pulling out and pushing back again you fix the station).
I have also a "Münster" in my K 70 (with VW-knobs and -panel for sure). A little bit unoriginal, as this model wasn't in the original VW-radio-range. But I want to have a radio with three FM-preset-buttons and I'm not interested in SW- or LW-reception.

To receive FM-stations was getting usual in Germany in the 60ies. Only the very basic car-radios didn't had FM (not longer than ca.1973/74, I think).

The original VW-radios (completely only available in Germany, not in other countries) were Blaupunkt- or Grundig-radios, but with own names (names of the production-towns as Wolfsburg, Ingolstadt, Salzgitter, Kassel, Braunschweig, Emden).


My host-family at my school-exchange to Vancouver in 1988 was a bit annoyed, when I've seen the radio in their (Canadian made) 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera and have shouted "In what a kind of stone-age you are living here? The radio is two times bigger than a German one, but didn't have any FM?!" :whistle:
