I went to this zoo with my extended family and so had to rent a wheelchair. This zoo has a LOT of hills, so be prepared for this. Overall, not much to say other than it was a very nice, clean zoo with lots of animals. Everyone had a good time.

I saw the great reviews but based on the price and people saying small zoo, I wasn’t expecting much but was I wrong! That zoo is so cute and it’s not that small. We spent over 2 hours there and enjoyed all of the exhibits and animals. If I lived closer I would def return.

I was so happy to come back to animal adventure Park after a five year absence. This is my third visit and even though we went at a very cold and windy time, just bundle up if you’re going in cool weather because it gets very cool and windy on the giraffe deck, we had a great time!
The park has expanded so much including a Safari drive through park across the street since I have been there. I absolutely love it there. If you are a giraffe lover, this is a fantastic place to get up close and personal and feed the beautiful giraffes. They have such a great selection of animals, and every animal seems very healthy and well taken care of and the habitats are beautiful. Kids, big and small alike, will love that you can feed so many of the animals if you buy feed at the gift shop, you can also buy lettuce to feed the giraffes right on the giraffe deck. I fell in love with April the giraffe six years ago, watching her give birth on YouTube, and it was bittersweet visiting her memorial at the park since this was my first visit back since she had passed away. I was so fortunate to be able to feed her baby boy Tajiri across the street at the Preserve, their drive-through safari.❤️

Beautiful farm. We did a private tour on a Friday. Worth it for the one-on-one experience. Pugs, goats, sheep, cows and more !!!

Very cute and peaceful little zoo in the heart of Central Park. Unfortunately when we visited the lights in the penguin enclosure were broken so they were swimming in the dark and the bear enclosure was shut down for the day to have maintenance work done. However, all this being said we met a lovely worker in the tropical enclosure who showed us where we could spot the bats and taught us about the peacocks! Definitely would visit again when all of it is open.

Yeah, there are more than just cats but they were the coolest encounters at this little zoo for me.

Seneca Park Zoo is a nice, little zoo. This was the second stop in an upstate zoo tour. It is not a 'destination' zoo for a trip for most people as you can pretty well cover it satisfactorily in less than an hour (though I spent the day) but it's a great experience for a morning or afternoon excursion. It has a very unusual, looong east-west layout and there is one path to the back and that's your path out. No 'regions' or 'ecosystems' so to speak and the trail runs, generally, along the north side of all the habitats making photography, especially late in the year, very challenging if the sun's out. Fairly well done habitats for the limited space.

The lion habitat offers some opportunities to get 'up close and personal' though the shot I got eye to eye with the one lioness had too much glare/reflection to be that 'special' shot. The baboons are very active and, again, the habitat allows for some close up encounters. Seeing the lynx feeding and getting their story from the keeper was a bonus. Nice sea lion habitat. Elephants, rhino and seeing giraffe 'training' rounded out a beautiful day. Oddly, the river otters, who normally are a highlight of any zoo visit, were rolled up in a ball, sleeping all day.

Staff here is very engaging and professional. This zoo also has ASL signage at all habitats. Something I've never encountered at any other zoo, which was very interesting. Some are actually 'motion' in that, as you pass, the person actually goes through the signing.

    Very affordable and free parking.

I discovered this park when we were staying in Syracuse to visit the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. I realized this was only a 15 minute drive from our hotel in Syracuse and when I saw you that you could feed giraffes, I had to go check it out! I absolutely love giraffes, and this did not disappoint. I was so impressed with the variety of animals and clean, large habitats these animals have. We did not have time to try the drive through safari, however, I hope to go back and visit again someday soon to see the park again and to the drive through safari! I would highly recommend this park!

    Excellent zoo a real gem.

Very well laid out so you see everything without a lot of doubling back on yourself.

Great value for money and a lot more animals than expected.

    Friendly and helpful staff.

    Would definitely recommend

I took my four grandchildren to the aquarium yesterday. We went early and parked on the street. Admission would have been $161 but we used library discount tickets for $125. Check with your library. The exhibits were very good and only one wasn’t working. We were there until 3 pm and went through the butterfly exhibit twice. Fish food (4 small fish) was $3 which seemed very expensive. There were also many activities not included in the admission which were quite expensive. We ate lunch there—one small food item such as a hamburger and a small drink (refillable all day), for $108. I suggest you leave (re-entry is allowed) and go elsewhere to eat. One bathroom needed cleaning. My grandchildren enjoyed the visit very much.

Great place to take the kids for an afternoon. Most of the animals are indoors. Snow leopards are a must see.

I was in town for a meeting. When it ended I had a few hours before the flight and the zoo is by the airport. It’s not a big zoo. But I enjoyed seeing the animals. It was hot that day but there was a decent amount of shade. I loved the sand cat. I don’t think I’ve seen one before.

This is a nice, small zoo and would be very good for families with smaller children. It is educational and affiliated with the school. IF you are someone who is use to large zoos, you might be disappointed. But if you are looking for a small zoo and wish to have a relaxing hour or so to spend, this would suit.

It's a small zoo, but quite sweet and while the enclosures aren't exactly world-class they animals do have some good enrichment and mostly have a decent amount of space. Quite a surprising range of animals considering the size and location. Also fairly inexpensive. Worth a visit!

Yes, it is designed for children but isn't that part of the fun? We took our time looking at the exhibits of monkeys, birds, fish, etc. The landscaping was nice and there were enough places to rest for us older people. The price is nominal for entry and certainly worth it. Glad we went after walking through Prospect Park!

This is quite an amazing farm. The animals are so well cared for. The giraffe exhibit was the best part. The handler there made us feel so welcome. She gave us carrots to feed the giraffe and was a font of information. The bird sanctuary was also so much fun. After purchasing a stick with bird seed on it- the birds flew on our hands and shoulders to feed. It was such a blast. My wife and I truly enjoyed our visit. A few things- the price is high- over $30 each- and they do not take charge at the gate, only cash. Also they charged to feed the birds. We both felt that should have been free. But despite that we had a lovely time- and will return with our grandkids in the future- but we need to save up! ;)
