interesting museum in the old buildings of the explosives factory. Underground tunnels between the buildings adds to the expierence. Slight minus that all information is in Polish

A nice idea of adaptation of old buildings into a tourist attraction, but.. felt a bit disappointed, at least myself. Lots of written informations, which at the beginning were interesting, but in total a too much to read. Writings available only in polish. Needed to translate everything to a non-polish speaker. Understood that in terms of pandemic interactive screens were out of use and no regret to that. In general it could be a bit refined in terms of attractiveness. Dry facts, a lot of writing, a little too less climate that such place could have.

The old explosives factory is now a museum way off the city. It is worthy to take a detour to see it.

You can get there by public transport using bus 86E (the E is important) There are not so many buses so best check before you go. The website jakdojade.pl is very useful for this and other trips you want to make using bus or tram in Poland.
At the museum everything is in Polish, but you can buy a booklet for PLN in English.
If you have the chance, watch the documentary made by National Geographic about this place.
Beware that you only see the buildings, all the rest was taken by the Red Army and transported to Russia.

It is one of less known attractions in Bydgoszcz but definitely one of the most interesting! It presents the history of the region during World War II. It is a sad page of the history but the important one anyway. The sightseeing is nicely organised, takes over 2h. I recommend taking a guide, they know so many interesting stories. The easiest way to come here is to go by car, but there are also some buses available in the walking distance.

Considering 30% of all ammunition used in the Russian Front was produced here, it is worth a visit.
Start with the Nitro production area, up the mound to the left hand side of the museum.
It was purposely built to deflect explosions.
Labour used was from barracks on site and Koronowo Hard Labour Prison. Including my late Uncle who worked here in 1942.......

We not expected a lot for this place, but we heard a lot about it.
How can a man create such a fate for a man ... no words...
We feel sorry for You and Others, who lost loved ones heres in this Nazi Camp... 'cause that was a camp.
We gave U 5 on 5... You know what... for guide and a place like a place.
YOU MUST VISITET THIS MUSEUM! IS AMAZING AND HORRABLE IN THE SAME TIME!

A good 40mins drive from Bydgoszcz, Tours or text not available in English yet but I found this place to be vast & very interesting even without the added Translation for my wife. A long walk but worth every step.

This historic place is well worth a visit.
For a generation that grew up with history or relatives in the 2nd world war this is a reality check. This place in Poland hits home what people went through and it was a case of had too not want too.
All I will say on the negative side is that should you not be going with a guided tour they could have audio language tapes. Only had a paper print of each section. Still worth the visit.
