Enjoy Locally Made Wines at Farfella

While fine wine may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Yukon or even Oklahoma, it's where you'll find Farfalla Wines, a family-run winery whose name means "butterfly" in Italian.

Visit Yukon's Many Museums

See the Historic Downtown Along Route 66

The city of Yukon began in the late 1800s and has plenty to offer in terms of historic areas. Located along the iconic Route 66, downtown Yukon is home to a number of shops and restaurants, as well as the homes of the town's founders. Route 66 was aligned through Yukon in 1926 and served as Yukon's main thoroughfare, drawing people to its business district. Robert Funk Jr. bought eight rare Clydesdale horses in the mid-1990s and brought them to a ranch in Yukon, Oklahoma. They became quite popular, and the ranch now has 40 of these majestic creatures, which appear at events across the nation, including the Oklahoma State Fair.

Head four miles north of I-40 on Garth Brooks Boulevard in Yukon to visit the Express Clydesdales Barn, a specially-reconstructed barn was originally built in 1936.
