This place is perfect in every single way. The room we had, the green room was spotlessly clean, the water was hot, hot, hot snd the wifi was lightening fast.

The staff was phenomenal and helpful beyond belief and the location and price was fantastic for a tourist destination.
They hotel is located just one block off the main square. There are great cafes and restaurants everywhere. Go to Frankies!

If you have a car, you can Whatapp the hotel 10 minutes before you arrive and they will send the valet to meet you in the main square and you can hand over your car. The valet is $18 euros per day with inn and out access.

There are probably hundreds of fancier places to stay in Sorrento. This place has no water view, no lobby, no bar, nothing. But we loved it anyway.

Highly, highly recommend.

P.S. There is a very loud bar across the street. If you want a quiet experience, I can't recommend it. But again, the location is incredible!

My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights form our honeymoon and we couldn’t have been more pleased! The staff was extremely friendly and we were especially impressed with the housekeeping staff. We emailed the staff prior to our arrival and asked for assurance in getting a private car to pick us up from the airport and they set it up no problem! It made our travels easy and took a lot of the stress away from our arrival. The location is perfect and we’ve already said that if we go back to Sorrento, we’d stay here again! It’s extremely convenient to shop around, eat, and go to the beaches without getting a taxi. It’s close to the main square which ended up being a a primary meeting location for many of the excursions we did. And although the location of the hotel is in the middle of the action, the noise was never and issue and we never had trouble sleeping. We loved it here and would return!

This boutique hotel is right on the main street in Sorrento, with balcony rooms overlooking the passegiata action down below. The entrance is on a side street and is not hard to find. Just look for the awning on Santa Maria della Pieta and you will see it coming. The location is EXCELLENT, right between the Cathedral and the Tasso Piazza in downtown Sorrento. There is a small desk for reception--there is no lobby. You go to your room via elevator or by staircase. In any event, the rooms are spotless and beautifully appointed. I found the staff very accommodating. I sent a number of emails ahead of time and they were answered in a very timely manner. I needed two separate beds for myself and my son, and they arranged this for us immediately and without effort. Breakfast is at a local restaurant down the block in the Piazza Tasso. You are given coupons to hand to the waiters. I would stay here again in a minute.

Overall I think it’s a good hotel: great location, clean room, good service (except what happened next). However the hotel is severely understaffed especially in the evening) and one of the receptionists is under-trained, unprofessional and incompetent.
I had an unpleasant exchange with the male receptionist who works the evening shift. Due to what happened in the coming days, I will make this feedback constructive rather than blaming.
In the first night of our stay, we realized the AC did not blow warm air. Because it was late, I turned off the AC before falling to sleep. Then vary early in the morning, both my wife and I felt cold. However we had to leave at 7AM for Amalfi coast tour the second day, we did not see the receptionist and did not have time for the breakfast in the hotel (met the lady who prepare the breakfast in the lobby).
After we returned in the evening, we still could not make the AC work so I spoke to the receptionist who promised to come up in 5 minutes to take a look. After 30 minutes he did not show up so we went down to have our dinner. We saw him (the receptionist) in the lobby, he then said he was busy and could help us now. We went up with him to our room and he seemed not have a clue. I suggested him to call for some support but he did not want to because it was late (it was around 18:30-19:00). After a painful 15 minutes, we decided to leave for our dinner and told him to lock the door once he was done. We came back from our dinner one hour later, he simply told me that we had to wait for tomorrow and there was nothing he could do now. I was not too happy so told him that we paid for the heating and it is not right to leave your guests in the cold 2 of the 3 nights. He first argued that it was not cold, but I told him 1) it might not be cold now but it was 3AM in the morning and 2) it was not important how he felt but how his guests feel. He then try to put the blame on me because I did not report the problem in the morning (we did not get the chance to do so as I said in the beginning).
He was not apologetic at all in the whole process.
The second day in the morning, I told the receptionist in the morning shift about what happened the day before. She behaved professionally and apologized and promised to fix the problem. The AC was fixed what we returned in the evening; there was a small bottle of wine and 2 bottles of water in our room. I was happy for the final outcome.
I do suggest however that the hotel should have some level of support to resolve problem like heating etc., and re-train certain staff so that the staff respect not blame hotel’s guests.

This “hotel” is a few rooms on the top two floors of a small apartment building. There is no breakfast available despite what is listed on TA. Guests are not allowed to use the elevator after 10 PM until eight the following morning (despite a posted sign that says they turn off the elevator at 11). I have stayed in many places that do not have a 24 hour reception, but none of them turn off the elevator! guests who have any difficulty with stairs would be well advised to stay away. My room was a remodeled attic, with no windows, and the ceiling so low that I kept bumping my head. They claim they make breakfast available because it is possible to eat at a café a few minutes walk away. Pointing out that another business offers a service at another location is not making something available: it’s a simple deception. The hotel is located in the quiet pedestrian zone of Sorrento about 20 minutes walk from the train station. except for the sound of pigeons, my room was quiet and had a modern looking bathroom, a flatscreen TV, a mini fridge, and a coffee machine. it’s really quite easy to find; there is a sign on the building on the main corso street. all you have to do is duck through an archway under the cathedral tower a few yards further on and double back on the back street to find the hotel entrance opposite a restaurant. It is convenient for the many restaurants and tourist shops of the old city only two or three blocks away. That said, it did not meet my needs and I will not be staying here again.

Very centrally located (right above main square, but not too noisy - I wear earplugs so no issue). Spotless. Room was extremely spacious and air con and cable worked excellent. Beds very comfortable and plenty of space for clothes, luggage, towels, etc. Very comfortable stay for 3 nights, basic but very comfortable and clean, no complaints.

We really enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Tasso. It was situated in a great location in the heart of Sorrento an easy walk from the train station. The hotel does not have ocean views but we knew that before we booked. We were more interested in a place that was conveniently located since we were not going to spend much time in the room. Highly recommend!

Located in a prime area of Sorrento, our room balcony overlooked the Corso Italia, one of the main (pedestrian) streets. Vehicles are not permitted in this area except for deliveries. The entrance to the hotel is located on a street that parallels the main street and one must walk along a connecting alley/street to get to that street, once oriented it was very easy--our phone map directions tried to put us in front of the hotel, not recognizing that the entrance was in the 'back.' The staff was very friendly and helpful. We liked our room which was adequate size. Those choosing to stay at this hotel should expect to walk steps inside the hotel since the elevator is very small and is generally only used for luggage, although I assume a person is allowed to use it during reception hours, we did not. The elevator is not able to be used when the reception desk is closed. We did not purchase breakfast, but there are at least two choices for early risers within a block of the hotel. We would stay here again.

I was hesitant to stay at this hotel based on some negative reviews reflecting alley access to entrance. However, ended up booking due to lack of availability at other hotels. I was pleasantly surprised and loved our stay! Yes, there is no taxi/vehicle access. You are dropped off at the main square, Plazza Tasso, to walk about 2 blocks thru the alley. Tricky at first to find, but all restaurant employees are helpful & direct you to the hotel. The staff is very welcoming, friendly & helpful. Everything very clean & beds are comfortable. Breakfast included at restaurant in the main square; so you do walk from the hotel thru the alley to the restaurant. The food was good and you can people watch as you enjoy your meal. Restaurant staff also friendly & welcoming. Hotel is safe; entry door locks at 11pm and you enter with key pad code issued. Elevator is small; one person at a time with bags & not available after closing of entry at 11pm; so you must use stairs. Hotel located walking distance to bus & train terminal. It is centrally located with shops & restaurants everywhere.
