Lot of fake people around you, too much drama

wdym by that?

People are just generally, really only looking for attention and it’s fine maybe it’s normal idk but you get caught in the middle of a lot of drama and people will act two faced and hurt you so it’s just about choosing the right people. Most of this happens in the “cool kids” circle. And depending on which class you’re going in, you’re going to see a lot of unhealthy stuff around you too, best not to indulge but also don’t be a narc let people do whatever they’re doing (eg people will be smoking cigs and joins anytime in or after 10th at least)

bro this happens in every place

I never said it doesn’t. I simply don’t know how it is anywhere else. The question is “what is it like?” Not “what’s the difference”

But yes you also get opportunities. Take part in competitions and try to get any posts in the student council. Be in good books with the teachers all this can help if you need any LORs or whatever for college. And just give someone advice if they ask you for it that way you’ll be seen as a general neutral nice guy/girl

As someone who is teaching in one of such schools, the kids are such pretentious-rich-privileged jerks. And man their parents . . Don't even get me to start there.

If I knew my teacher is on Reddit I would worship him/her

What about parents??

Some are helpful (rare)- while others want their kids to interact with only certain kinds of students (of their same class status wise). Some downright say that we pay so much fees, how dare you say something to my child.

I wanna know the whole story too!

"pretentious-rich-privileged jerks: yeah that's pretty much spot on.

I'd argue that they still live in their own bubbles even after graduating.

It's like you're on Instagram IRL.

A dude from dps rkp asked me if I could stop my period for a few hours so we can hook up😩😩

lemme tell you

big threaters

nothing else matters to these schools except bigasss auditoriums lols

Was in Modern - although quite a few years ago. There's a lot of population, so you find people from all stratas and reach - so in a way finding similar people is kinda easy. There are plenty of kds from normal families as well as kids who have cars which cost more than our house chauffeuring them. But it's not really a deterrent and being cool/nice would help you mingle with any and everyone. Just don't be the snobby my daddy so rich types or the dumbass I'm so poor please pity me.

I'm from modern too, which batch are you from?

It was actually pretty nice, I met my best friend there. But there was a great divide between the externals(who took admission in 11th) and the internals lol. Btw I was in DPS rkp

People are hella pretentious and fake

u/Plaguesthewhite avatar

I'm from msbk, it's pretty ok, there are some rich assholes, but a majority of them are just normal ass students which you'll find everywhere.

Only reason i could afford the school was cause my mom used to teach in my school and we got tuition free so I was def poorer than most kids in my class lol. But people are the same everywhere man, i felt out of place at times cause some of my friends would spend thier summer holidays in italy or have drivers drive them around everyhwere but thats it. You'll find dickheads, nerds, assholes everywhere. And its not like its all rich kids

Also my moms a teacher shes told me the two biggest changes in kids now is there's far less bullying or fighting and kids care less bout school now lols like they barely put any effort in.

"All glitters no gold"

I'm a modernite, and tbh it's at lot like any other school, albeit with a bigger focus on sports and co-curricular activities. They used to be a lot more lenient on bunking class, but apparently that's changed under the new principal.

Yeah, there's a bigger percentage of kids from richer backgrounds, and some kids are assholes about it. But overall, I wouldnt choose any other school over Modern.

Feel free to ask him any specific questions if you have them.
