The trio of Pianist Leonard Thompson, Bassist Ryan McGillicuddy, and drummer Jerry Kalaf are featured on 'The Jazz Answer', 'Welcome To Earth', and 'Not Knowing'. They are joined by a rhythm section of Jeff Colella, Gabe Davis and Jerry Kalaf on piano, bass and drums respectively. 'Ambiguity', 'Siyaya Samba', and 'This One's For Jim' feature a sextet with Barry Coates playing guitar, Doug Walter playing Alto and Soprano Saxophone, and Percussionist Scott Breadman. This music was composed with the improvising musician in mind and recorded with minimal processing in order to capture the music as it happened in the moment. Jerry's Los Angeles Trio with Pianist Rich Ruttenberg and Bassist Domenic Genova performs 'See You Next Year' and the closer of this recording, 'Moving On'.
