Absolutely steal but these don’t port to any other platform so unless you want to watch these on your computer it’s basically useless.
Yup - only works on select Windows laptops/desktops and select Xbox consoles. Really dumb I agree :/ It's a crazy deal though so I still bought it lol

It’s strange because Amazon’s VOD platform is part of the platform-linking MoviesAnywhere service but the Amazon-owned MGM film catalog isn’t part of MA.
I naively assumed that it would be like a day-1 thing when the acquisition went through, and it wasn’t. Still? It’s hard to imagine that they won’t eventually join up.

I’d probably jump on it regardless. See my post above re: Amazon, MGM and MoviesAnywhere. It’s probably only a matter of time before Amazon adds the MGM library to the service considering the fact that their VOD platform is a MA partner. And if/when that happens these would all populate on other services provided you’ve linked your MS account. No guarantees but $5 is worth the risk.

I bought it anyway. Can’t pass up 20 cents per film in HD. If it works on the current Xbox great if not oh well… I’ll just not buy a Red Bull tommorow.

i don't hink so: it seems like it's a mistake, there is no way it's a deal they put out willingly: they're selling the collection at the price they STILL sell the individual movies.

Anyway, not saying don't take advantage of this but just be aware digital video purchases have been removed from peoples accounts by platform holders several times in the recent past due to lots of bullshit reasons. I stick to physical media as much as possible for this reason. That said, for 5 bucks why the hell not role the dice on it?
Based on other deals we've seen from Microsoft for digital movies/shows, they're generally good about letting people keep them.
That said, those were all $20-$50. This is $100ish (based on the normal sale prices of the collection). Worst case scenario, they refund and take the movies back :)

I think the bullshit reasons were that the videos were given away for free by mistake, rather than for any charge at all.

It does work on Series X. Just tried it. This collection came out prior to the new Xbox’s and they never updated the descriptions I guess.
Just saw this…Had to open the Movies & TV app and each individual film was in there. What a great deal this was!
I bought it but wow if it doesn’t work on my X that’s pretty dumb. Oh well worst case scenario I’m out $5. I can’t imagine ever watching on a laptop
