Material to use[edit]

As admissions go, they don't come more blunt than 'I'm a Mess'. Ed's boyish sensibility has been washed away with a few pints of cider as he searches for "a sweet surrender". Most would presume fame has caused him to hit the bottle, but it's that other enigma that's bothering him; the heart. Ed has been crossed and then crossed again over the past few years, and his antagonists have obviously forgotten about his ability to channel that panging hurt into a stomping, slow-building anthem. Talk about having the last say. It's a turn he doesn't employ just once, but a handful of times throughout x, letting that doe-eyed mask slip to reveal a toughened expression.]

Additional sources

Tomica, the major sources were pretty much covered, many of which I also found on my list, especially those cited on the first section. You might find these helpful, too. The VH1 was very brief, though.

Requested move 17 March 2017[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: No consensus. Note that I'm a Mess is a DAB page with six entries, and nobody who commented here has offered data to show that the Ed Sheeran song is the primary topic of I'm a Mess. The page views suggest it would not make it, since Jason White (musician) has a song of that name and he is in the DAB. The album with the Rasmus song is also one of the current entries in the DAB. • 02:02, 24 December 2015 Rjd0060 (talk | contribs) deleted page I'm a Mess (The Rasmus song) (Expired PROD, concern was: No references, no claim of notability, fails WP:NSONG and WP:GNG.)
Did the editor who placed a PROD tag on the Rasmus single look at the substantial original article at sv:I'm a Mess and smaller article at it:I'm a Mess? In ictu oculi (talk) 07:15, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
"I'm a Mess" is a song by the Finnish rock band The Rasmus, released as the first single from their eighth album The Rasmus March 5, 2012. It debuted live as öppningslåt for the finals of the competition for new music February 25, 2012 at Helsinki ice rink. [2] It was also confirmed that "I'm a Mess" will be the official song for the European Athletics Championships in 2012. [3] etc. .... from the look of the Swedish article I can't see that it failed WP:NSONG, and WP:GNG, European news sources, just hadn't been developed. • As regards the merits of the number 49 UK song. No opinion. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:16, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Change to Oppose based upon above presentation by In ictu oculi. If the Ed Sheeran song achieved a higher ranking along with considerable success, it would have had the potential of becoming an indisputable WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. However, the Rasmus song's entries in the Swedish Wikipedia and the Italian Wikipedia do, indeed, confirm that it has sufficient notability to at least force a disambiguation page where it merits a WP:DABMENTION in anticipation of the probable recreation of its English Wikipedia entry. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 18:19, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If it's not notable enough to warrant an article in the English-speaking world, then Ed Sheeran's song needs to take precedent. Unreal7 (talk) 20:34, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
