Poignant and bittersweet, but maybe a little seen-it-all-before to really stand out from any crowd. Acting is excellent and wouldn't be surprised to hear much was improvised as it felt totally natural throughout. The synopsis I keep reading on multiple sites seems to imply that the male in the story is the protagonist which is off base and kind of disappointing. Erm, what else? I kind of expected to like this a lot more so I guess it's a little disheartening that I've not got much to say and it felt a little forgettable. Still it's got a good heart and I still enjoyed it, but not quite as intimate, introspective or powerful as I hoped.

If you want to see "Broad City" breakout star Ilana Glazer in a more serious role, then check out Chioke Nassor's rom-com with a melancholic streak, "How to Follow Strangers".
A film about life, death, love and second chances, yes the film is a bit of a Debbie Downer at times but it's also surprisingly hopeful and uplifting as we follow Ellie (Glazer), a young divorced woman unhappy with her demeaning job who begins to spot Casey, an equally depressed man who has recently been dumped. Ellie decides to follow Casey and soon a relationship blooms.
I loved this movie. I'm 26, the same age as the character of Ellie and I know I would have probably eaten this film up more if I were a few years younger even.
Definitely check this one out.
this is one of the most boring movies i've ever seen which sucks because the premise had potential but it was handled in the blandest and most one note way possible
