Actress Harriet Dyer reveals she and her actor husband Patrick Brammall have adopted a baby girl

Harriet Dyer is a new mum after adopting a baby girl with her husband, Patrick Brammall.

The 32-year-old actress made the announcement on Instagram on Monday for International Daughters Day, which was on Sunday, September 26.  

'International Daughter's Day feels as good a time as any to introduce our little Joni Jane Brooklyn Brammall,' the Love Child actress began.

'Born September 16, 2021 and with us from her first moments thanks to her incredible birth mother.'

Harriet went on to thank her husband of five months, who she said had taken charge of parenting duties while she worked. 

'Special mention to Patty on this here daughter's day, I have been working and he has kept this whole show going,' she added.

Praising the 45-year-old Offspring actor, she added: 'She struck gold with him.'

Harriet ended the heartfelt post with a quote from American actress Ellen Burstyn on adoption. 

'"Mother is a verb and if you do the verb you become the noun." - Ellen Burstyn on adoption,' she finished.
