                            The music was too loud and in my opinion not the right music for a romantic meal. Something quiet and soothing would have been more appropriate . Never seen a robotic waiter before! Staff very helpful

                            Enjoyed a very nice dinner- we had the hot rocks steak. Service was very good. Not sure why we were asked if we were booking for a special occasion as this wasn't acknowledged (Golden wedding anniversary)

                            It was a most enjoyable way to end our son's visit with us before he travelled back to the mainland. It is the second time we have done this and it didn't disappoint.

                            We’ve eaten here before and thought yesterday was the best yet. We shared a delicious baked Camembert which was excellent value and I’d highly recommend- it came with wonderful bread. I’d also highly recommend the mussels as a main - again a generous portion of tasty food. We will look forward to coming back on our next trip.

                            Disappointing compared to last year. We assume the chef has changed ! The starters were chicken liver parfait that was ok but the bread did not seem to be overly fresh and the goats cheese mousse that was heavy and not at all “ mousse “ like, it really needed some Melba toast or similar to eat with it and it sat rather heavily on the stomach. Main courses - Moules : very heavy handed on the onion to such a degree the onion flavour overwhelmed the whole dish. The sauce seemed to contain very little wine and only tasted strongly of onion, consequently was not touched, neither was the worthy bread. Compared to last year, when not a drop of sauce was left. Hake: it was explained I had an onion family and garlic allergy so I knew my choices were limited and thought the hake without chive oil was a possibility. I was told this wasn’t possible and only when I said it was my birthday and please could he offer me hake without my allergens was I given the chance of hake with lemon sauce. What came out was a plate of what looked like unappetising completely white hospital food. There was no attempt to garnish the dish to make it look appetising. Last year, , after our meal we rebooked immediately to come again - sadly not this year. All the front of house staff were very attentive and helpful but your unfortunately chef let you down.

                            We had a wonderful evening from start to finish. We started with a cocktail which arrived quickly and very much enjoyed. We all ate different things, gnocchi squid and pigeon for starters. Generous portions, piping hot, really good. Then came steak, sole and hake. Again perfect portion size, beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. Not much room for dessert, but the pannacotta was a perfect choice to slip down the sides! Delicious and light. Service was attentive and professional, the ambiance was lovely and given that it was the last service of the season the standards did not slip in any way. We look forward to dining here again next year.

                            Came twice our first meal 5 * , but Friday was not so much . Wine was great , meal was underwhelming . Had tomahawk steak for first time , tough and steak knives forgotten ! Puddings okay not outstanding . Not the usual quality we’ve had at other times.
