Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Kelly H1 contributionWe love it here and come at least twice a year, the soft play seating section could just bit a little bit bigger and brighter in all honesty! Apart from that nothing to complain about, we will keep coming back.Written 5 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sam3314Derby, UK2,117 contributionsHughenden Manor was the home of Benjamin Disraeli so a large amount of information about him. It was also the home of the map makers during WWII so a fascinating display about that. The gardens are lovely and there are good walks around the park. A small cafe which gets very busy at lunchtime and also a coffee kiosk. You need to pay or show your membership cards on the drive in. The car park is at the top of the hill. A two paw print place so you can take dogs in the gardens, park and outside the cafe but not in the house.Written 1 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - keith hChesham, UK1,032 contributionsWycombe Museum , also known as The Chair Museum , although the chairs are only a component of a much more varied experience.
Very attractive flint building once known as Castle Hill House & situated on a leafy road in High Wycombe. Very pleasant garden , mostly to the front with lawns , beds , shrubberies & trees.
Not only does the house contain historical exhibits from High Wycombe & the surrounding villages & towns. Also , there is a decent cafe & shop & a barn to the rear.
Apart from being a museum , the site hosts Wedding events & provides educational courses & activities.
Entrance is free , as is parking which is limited. We arrived shortly after opening time & not only was the little car park full but also cars were parked up on mud either side of the drive.
There is plenty of street parking , all chargeable & the tariff varies according to street , day & time of day. Cost us £4 : 05 for 6 hrs which isn't bad , I guess.
Surprisingly , it is only 5 minutes walk downhill to Cornmarket so we were able to get full value for our fee by breaking off at the museum for a pub lunch in Cornmarket.
The ground floor contains the cafe , toilets & the old kitchen with apposite information & examples of old , relevant implements .
One other room with further exhibits.
Much more to see upstairs with several rooms housing various artefacts , chairs & paintings.
There is a cinema room where you can select various clips of varying duration.
All in all , well worth a visit.
There is a steep , wooded mound to one side of the house which has given conjecture to it being a motte but there is no definite proof of this.
You can ascend the mound via rustic stairs & descend the other side.Written 6 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sheepygoldlondon5,603 contributionsI remember coming some years ago and climbing up the tower for a modest fee to get amazing views. The church is now apparently only open for concerts and luckily they were setting up today so we had a glimpse at the amazing plasterwork on the ceiling.Written 21 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
