Nephew of old man: That's right. He took the stairs.
But while Lyon and Daniels are the stars of this movie, Vic Oliver is the main focal point. Without his interference on every occasion (as Daniels and Lyon, working for rival radio networks, compete for radio interviews) there would be almost no fun or shenanigans.
Bebe Daniels & Ben Lyon were both big Hollywood names in the silents and early talkies, but by 1941 the married couple had relocated to England and where primarily radio stars. They tried to jump back to the silver screen bringing their radio show with them hoping the popularity of their BBC broadcast Hi Gang! (1941) would re-launch their acting careers. I guess it didn't, but the radio show remained. Daniels didn't do another movie, her final, until 1955 which was used to launch the couple's television show Life with the Lyons (1955–1960).
