Did my best in climbing uphill 2 km which was only half of the way to reach the statue Hercules. Without foot injury and with more day light one physically fit person can easily climb 500 steps (after 2 km walk) to admire the statue! This is my challenge for some other time! Nevertheless, the views from even the half way of climbing was astonishing! Not to be missed

Take a family picnic and enjoy splendid grounds with ability to walk, cycle and more. Museum at the bottom with a good cafe. Totally recommend

Was brought to the top of Hercules and walked to the town from there, it was superb, majestice views and calm and peaceful. I was told the steps were a bit much and walk through the forest. It was too windy, so used the steps and was alot easier. Stopped for a coffee at the schloss beneath it.
Loved the autumnal walk on a peaceful day.

This monument stands in the gounds 0f the Schloss, and is well worth the treck to visit it. It dates back a couple of hundred years, but shows little signs of its age. There is a pleasnt walk around the monument and if you are very energetic you will have wonderful views from its top. Check dates if you want to see the water-fall.

Went to see the Hercules statues and water garden. Missed the water running started at 2.30pm. Some repair work going in at the moment so unfortunately cranes and stuff in the photos I took. However beautiful views stretching out in the distance, all in all very worth the visit would go again.

The bird's eye view of the city was mesmerzing. On a clear day and evening after the illuminations it looks wonderful. Be prepared to climb the 525 stairs to reach the castle and have a look at the Hercules.

The story goes that you can see the Herkules anywhere in Kassel. I'm sure whether that's true, but it's a pretty awesome statue in any case. Worth a visit!

We went there by a bus. The view from top and climbing down the stairs was pretty thrilling. Climbing up was pretty painful through. I had to take rest a couple of time. Felt muscles in my legs that I didn't existed.

You can still visit it, but it's under construction / being renovated so it somewhat spoils the experience. Still a great view though and very much worth the visit.

Great place to visit. Well worth the visit. If you travel between October and April, the fountain will not be on. If you are planning to visit between April and October, this is worth the visit. Just be there by 2:30 pm The walk to the bottom is well worth it. Just remember you do have to go back up and it can be tiring.

We didn't have time to walk all the way down, but I did see a flat paved path that lead toward the park. Hope this helps you
