He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Charles Stafford and Marguerite Stafford of West Point; his grandfathers, Emmett Edwards (Sarah) and Henry Stafford (Ellie); his brother Lewis Stafford; his wife Cathy Stafford; his sons, Richard Stafford and Christopher Dale Stafford (Courtney); his grandchildren, Ashlynn, Annika, Madylynn and Noah Stafford; his daughters-in-law, Mindy Harrell (Greg) and Nickole Stafford; and his brothers, Mark (Beverly) and Steve Stafford (Margaret Ann).

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Riverside Chapel Baptist Church (134 E Broad St, West Point, MS 39773). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
