(1663-1690), Sailor and soldier; son of Charles IILater Stuart Portraits Catalogue Entry
Sitter in 14 portraits
Second son of Charles II by Barbara Villiers. When he was almost nine he married Isabella Bennet aged about five but this was not binding. They married legally for a second time in 1679. He was created Earl of Euston in 1672 and Earl of Grafton in 1675. He saw military service both on land and on sea and was killed while in command at the siege of Cork.
