Henry D. Perry Park in Miramar gets $5 million transformation

Miramar’s historic Henry D. Perry Park has emerged from a significant transformation, courtesy of a substantial investment by the City of Miramar.

With over $5 million dedicated to enhancements, the park now stands as a vibrant space catering to all members of the community, spanning from seniors to children.

The park’s rejuvenation encompasses an array of features aimed at promoting health, recreation, and community engagement. Among the notable additions are a newly constructed running track, a state-of-the-art playground, fitness equipment, a soccer field, table tennis tables, a scenic walking trail, and upgraded restroom facilities. Additionally, the basketball courts and racquetball courts have undergone comprehensive renovations, breathing new life into beloved recreational amenities.

To commemorate this milestone, the grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony are slated for Saturday, April 20th, at 10 a.m. The event promises to be a festive affair, welcoming residents of all ages to join in the celebration at Henry D. Perry Park, conveniently situated at 3400 Wildcat Way, Miramar, 33023.

The successful realization of this project is attributed to the collaborative efforts of the Broward County School Board and the City of Miramar, both of whom played pivotal roles in its execution.
