Attending Henninger took a lot of patience and concentration. There were good times and bad times but throughout it all, I had to focus on graduating. Henninger has amazing resources and opportunities such as the SUPA classes and certain staff, but there were many circumstances where my education was interrupted by ignorance. Although COVID took away some of my high school experience, when students returned to the building we faced multiple fire drills a day, reconstruction, bad air quality, and more. Some staff members can be really helpful but a lot of them don’t do much for the students. I’ve also found that the administration can be very unorganized and last minute. Throughout my years at Henninger, I’ve faced a lot but I can say that I’ve met some exceptional people in the building, and I’ll miss the craziness of my high school.
In Henninger high school There are way Too many fights and drama going around the school, the kids are very out of control.
Henninger gets a bad rep, but it's honestly not that bad. It's always referred to a "city school" as if that is a negative thing, but it's not. Diversity is a great thing and people should see it that way.
I would like to see about that school is being changed and become better!! And get helps from the teachers and stuffs members.
Extremely diverse but the school handled the pandemic horribly. They have some good programs for anyone interested in health, the math and social studies departments have amazing teachers. But the science department doesn't.
My experience was enjoyable and the staff really prepare you for college. There is college courses available and a medical program that you take an exam for senior year to get certified.
Henniger is a very diverse school. The principle there is great and supportive. Some individuals may not like his rules but personally I love his rules. It's not only strict but very direct. The teachers there are supportive and is willing to help students.
Henninger high was the best 4 years of high school and I had a great experience. One thing I would love to change is the bathroom, how classes are set up and the food.
What I like about Henninger is the amount of work the staff puts in, to make sure the students that attend work up to their potential and excel in their academics. What can be better is planning activities for us student to get to know each other, because we can be an asset to each other personally and educationally.
Honestly at the start I didn’t really like this school much, but over time I’ve grown to love it as a whole. It definitely has improved overall these past years.
I went to Henninger highschool for my senior year. The teachers were amazing but they academics were too easy. I previously went to CNS highschool and it was hard transitioning was easy because I barely had to do anything to pass with good grades. The school wasn’t safe they let kids leave whenever they wanted. Also there were metal detectors you had to go through every time you entered the building.
I was at Henninger for four years. Every year I was there It got slightly worse. There were only several teachers that genuinely cared about teaching the rest just wanted the paycheck. Henninger also did not get us ready for college well enough, they didn't have many clubs or extracurricular activities that would prepare us for college.
Great school, wonderful environment, very diverse and amazing interactive teachers and administrators.
Henninger High School has opened up to me with open hands. I was able to be apart of the health professions program where I learned about my field of work and how I will get there. Now that I am a senior I will be able to go to a pre-med school and take the knowledge I learned with me. This year we had a new principle who knew how to take care of the building and knew how to lead it. I was very thankful for him.
I’m a senior here at Henninger, honestly it’s not too bad... there’s a lot of cliques here just like any other school, just find the right people to be friends with and you’ll be fine.
i’d like to see more teachers engaged in the lives of the students. i’d like to see more students engaged in school and wanting to become someone greater than they are now
Receiving a Certificate of Completion for the two-year Medical Assistant Program at Henninger High School is one of the best experiences of my life and has influenced my career choice of nursing. I was in the program during my junior and senior years of high school. I'm glad that I gained this valuable experience from the medical assistant program for which I received certification after testing from the National Healthcareer Association for both Administrative and Clinical Medical assistance. Henninger High School also awarded me a Career Technical Endorsement badge on my high school diploma after I successfully passed the examination.
