This record came in great shape, and I am able to listen to my favorite Bopper tunes with little to no scratches and spectacular quality. Definitely worth buying from here!

Enjoyed this CD mostly the novelty hit Chantilly Lace which boosted the Big Bopper's career, also White Lightning originally done but him later covered by Country music legend George Jones who made it a big hit. Overall a nice collection of this artists short career output before he tragically taken in the plane crash,The Day the Music Died.

The Bopper had a short, but marvelous career in the entertainment industry and this CD features many of his classic songs, many of which have a humorous twist to them that draws one into the song to sing and to even laugh along with the Bopper. He had a flair few other artists had at that time, and it rocketed him up the charts.
Fans of the Big Bopper have to wonder just where his success would have gone on to had it not been for the tragic plane crash that cost him, and Buddy Holly and Richie Vallens, their lives. A must have classic!

Never was and mostly never has been another artist like The Big Bopper. I say mostly because for a short period of his career Jerry Lee Lewis came close.

Excellent Music what the Big Bopper would have Done if he was not killed on February 3 1959 in the plane crash that took Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens a very Big loss to Rock and Roll

Can't stay depressed while listening to this wonderful man! The Big Bopper was taken from us far too early. I hope people get to know him for more than "Chantily Lace."

It is tragic that The Big Bopper's life and career ended so soon. His music is fun to listen to and I am quite pleased to have this CD as part of my music collection. Also, Amazon plays an important part in helping me to build my music library. I can always find what I need and have never been disappointed in their service. They DESERVE five stars!

It's the Big Bopper... that's all and no more... if you like his quirky arrangements and style- sign yourself up, if not do not get this CD. Songs are largely the same tempo and there are a couple of old favorites- popular ones. He really was the consummate country crossover pop star for the period. Good memories if you are from that era. I just wanted it for my collection to round it out. CD itself is clear and great background music. Cd has an excellent selection of his recordings.
