Heather Lupton is a Australian / British soprano who currently lives in Berlin, Germany. She has received acclaim for her Belcanto roles and is described as “a real find, with charm, acting ability and bucketfuls of vocal charisma.” She has performed roles such as Elisabetta from Maria Stuarda and Giovanna and Smeton from Anna Bolena.

 

Before moving to Berlin she sang mainly mezzo soprano repertoire. Operatic highlights include Mercedes and Carmen in Carmen, Orfeo in Orfeo ed Euridice, Maddalena in Rigoletto, Nicklausse in Les Contes d’Hoffman and Dido in Dido and Aeneas.

 

Since moving to Berlin she has won the Wagner Verband Stipendium, sung Judith in Herzog Blaubarts Burg, Fricka from Das Rheingold and Die Walküre.

 

She has taught piano, singing and composition in Australia, England and continues to teach music in Germany.
