Jonathan Bailey, Hayley Atwell and Eddie Marsan have joined the cast of 'Heartstopper' Season 3. They will be seen alongside the main cast of the show, which involves Kit Connor, Joe Locke and others.
While Bailey won't be a series regular, he'll be gracing the screen in a cameo appearance as Jack Maddox, Charlie Spring's (played by Kit Connor) Instagram-famous crush. This character is a twist on the original Henry Maddox from Alice Oseman's graphic novels, the source material for the show. In a statement, Oseman described Jack as "an Instagram-famous classicist and celebrity crush of Charlie."
The news comes alongside the announcement of two other exciting additions to the season 3 cast. Hayley Atwell, known for her portrayal of Agent Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), will play Nick Nelson's (played by Joe Locke) cool aunt. Rounding out the newcomers is Eddie Marsan, who will take on the role of Charlie's therapist, Geoff.
Season 3 of 'Heartstopper' is slated to premiere on Netflix in October 2024. This news follows the confirmation that Olivia Colman, who played Nick's mother Sarah in the first two seasons, will not be returning.
With Bailey's charm joining the already fantastic cast, and new characters to explore, season 3 of 'Heartstopper' promises to be another delightful chapter in the coming-of-age story.
