"Anti-Valentine's Day" is the sixth episode of the first season of Harvey Beaks

Synopsis[]

After being neglected by the others in the forest on Valentine's Day, Fee decides to make up her own holiday.

Plot[]

It is Valentine's Day in Littlebark and Harvey is handing out Valentine's cards with Fee and Foo accompanying him. Harvey arrives at his friend Mikey's house and they both happily exchange cards. Fee and Foo decide to also give Mikey a pair of odd and gross looking cards that Mikey begrudgingly accepts. After Mikey accepts their cards Fee and Foo eagerly await theirs in return, however, Mikey proceeds to rudely close the door in their face instead. Harvey, naive as ever, assures Fee and Foo that it was just a mistake, but this would later be disproven as Mikey straight up admits that he didn't make them any cards because he "doesn't like them". After the awkward situation Fee proclaims her hatred of Valentine's Day.

The next scene shows Harvey carrying an entire cart full of Valentine's cards dedicated to him, which prompts a frustrated Fee to point out how her and Foo have absolutely zero cards while Harvey has tons. Fee then comes up with the brilliant idea of making a holiday that is the complete opposite of Valentine's day called "Anti-Valentine's Day". Fee tests this idea out by returning to Mikey's house and hands him a card saying that he "smells like farts" and Mikey (surprisingly) plays along. We cut to the next day where all of the kids are gathered around confused by the mysterious and rude cards that suddenly appeared at their doorsteps. Fee and Foo then arrive and announce their new holiday and convince the kids to take part in it.

Everyone grows to love Anti-Valentine's Day except for Harvey who is having a hard time growing the courage to be mean to people for a change. Fee sees how sad and cardless Harvey is so she convinces Harvey to write the nastiest thing he could possibly think of and "give it to someone special". A naive Harvey then gives the nasty card he wrote to his mom and immediately gets grounded. Fee climbs up to Harvey's room and Harvey tells Fee that he got grounded because of the card, Fee feels bad for Harvey and explains that she did not want any of that to happen to him and that Anti-Valentine's Day was just a way for her and Foo to feel accepted for once. Fee then leaves Harvey alone in his room. The next scene plays out with Harvey being taken out of his room by his parents to an undisclosed location (we are presented with Harvey's creepy and exaggerated reinvisioning of the scene because he believes his parents are still angry at him and are going to punish him for being rude). After Harvey's vision it is revealed that his parents were not actually going to punish him but were instead taking him to an Anti-Valentine's Day party organized by his friends. Harvey's parents then tell Harvey that Fee explained everything about the new holiday and that they forgive him. Harvey, Fee and Foo then run off to enjoy the Anti-Valentine's Day party.
