Former residence of the Counts of Poitou - Dukes of Aquitaine, and then a courthouse, it is one of the most remarkable examples of medieval civil architecture in France. Founder of the first female monastery in Gaul, Radegonde, queen of the Franks and later a nun, is a major figure in Poitiers. Rediscover her exceptional story through some of Poitiers' landmarks.
