25 marzo. Guido Cavalcanti, ormai morto da secoli, spirito invisibile che si aggira solo per le strade di Firenze, viene preso dalla nostalgia e, in quel giorno dedicato al Sommo Poeta, non può far altro che portare il proprio pensiero a Dante Alighieri. Perché lui quell'uomo lo ha conosciuto. Ha visto oltre quel duro viso di marmo che la gente è ormai abituata a vedere. Ha seguito i suoi primi passi come poeta, lo ha visto sorridere, infuriarsi, piangere e disperarsi. Umano, come tutti noi.
D'altronde lui, Guido, fu il primo de li suoi amici.La vita a Firenze di Dante Alighieri raccontata dal punto di vista di una persona spesso messa in ombra dalla sua fama, Guido Cavalcanti, dal principio della loro amicizia fino alla loro tragica separazione.
Scritta per il Dantedì del 2024, anche se i capitoli successivi usciranno in giorni diversi, perchè non so controllarmi e la lunghezza della storia mi è leggermente sfuggita di mano :,)

Pleasant, even, if he was to ignore the centaurs hunting him for sport and the fact that he’s kneeling in an open grave.
Still - if Akutagawa was given such an ability, he’d have no shortage of significantly more creative punishments for creatures as loathsome as himself.
Akutagawa goes to Hell. Atsushi follows. Neither return the same.
