Carrie Underwood released another track from her forthcoming gospel album, My Savior.

On Friday (Feb. 26), the country superstar shared “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” a track that features the best selling Gospel artist of all time, CeCe Winans.

“Getting the chance to collaborate with Carrie was awesome,” Winans said of their collaboration. “I’ve been a fan of hers, I think she’s an incredible vocalist and to hear her sing ‘Great Is Thy Faithfulness’ really just brought it all alive, so i’m excited and you’re going to be blessed.”

“I put ‘Great Is Thy Faithfulness’ kind of in the same realm of ‘How Great Thou Art,’ it’s another song that’s vocally big but it doesn’t start out that way. I love the build in the song,” Underwood explained. “The lyrics, it’s like God you are so good to me, I woke up today, I’m still breathing, I’m still walking, I’m still singing, I still get to see my kids. Like every single one of those things, the things that we take for granted.”

“Great Is Why Faithfulness” was originally written as a poem by Thomas Chisholm in 1923 and turned into a Christian hymn when William M. Runyan composed the music for the track. According to Wikipedia, “the phrase “great is thy faithfulness” comes from the Old Testament Book of Lamentations 3:23. These exact words occur in both the King James Bible and the Revised Standard Version.”

“Great Is Thy Faithfulness” follows her previously released track “Softly And Tenderly.” The tracks both appear on her upcoming first-ever Gospel album, My Savior. The new Gospel project co-produced by Underwood alongside GRAMMY Award winner David Garcia, will feature 13 gospel hymns and is available for pre-order now.

“For this album, I chose some of the familiar hymns I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember. These songs set the foundation for me and I hope you love them as much as I do,” Underwood previously shared.

My Savior will be available digitally and physically on CD beginning March 26, and on Vinyl on April 30. The album follows the release of Underwood’s chart-topping Christmas album, My Gift.
