blurppp Gore Obsessed is my favourite Cannibal Corpse album. It might not be the most popular, but it is my favourite. I love the frantic riffs on this album, they're fast, aggressive and about as technical as Cannibal Corpse will get. George also flexes his vocal range with low deep bellows and high black-metal-esque screams. I also really like the lyrics they're very Twilight zone/Lovecraftian, with tales of bursting bodies and mutating cadavers. Gore Obsessed is an underrated Cannibal Corpse album. Favorite track: Grotesque.

XUN I like it enough on its own merit... I didn't find it particularly emotional or inspiring, but as a rather severe piece of metal, I appreciate it. However, I can't help but think that GORE OBSESSED might really only click when married to images of similar mood, foreboding, and gore obsession. Favorite track: Pit of Zombies.

Nocturnal Chillwind The guitar groves, rhythms, and other fantastic nonsense do not stop. It's one of their far greater releases. Favorite track: Compelled to Lacerate.
