Newcastle Team Announced – Gordon and Willock Start

Newcastle’s head coach Eddie Howe has announced the Newcastle team to play at Fulham this afternoon and there are 2 changes.

Gordon has served his one-match ban and comes straight back in and Willock returns to the side.

Interestingly, Willock has come in for Anderson who is on the bench.

Almost 70% of our readers think we can win this game so if Newcastle don’t get all 3 points it will be another disappointment.

Despite the rumour that he is being released Diallo makes the squad.

Like to see him come on and score!

    Longstaff getting away with Murder.

Wud rather have seen Murphy at rb, Barnes on from the start and Anderson for Lobby.

    Predictable

What’s the odds that Bruno and AG are targeted from the off, hope the ref is keeping an eye on all of the petty fouls that will be coming our way.

Not a bad looking side for Fulham; lacking pace in midfield though.

Fulham will want to control possession. Howe is maybe thinking about a manic high-press, leaving Anderson and Barnes as fresh legs to finish the job in the 2nd half.

Iwobi has always looked a clumsy player to me. A player to get tight on and use for counter-attacks.

Cairney and Willian must be knocking on a bit by now, too.

Not like Munster to find fault with the line up before a ball is even kicked. I remember the outrage last season (season before) when the line up got announced and we trounced them 1-4.

I’d say the usual suspects moaning before the ball has been kicked are more predictable than Howe’s team selections.

Hopefully Barnes will come on later and Gordon, who should have fresh legs after missing the last match, will move over to the right.
Surprised to see Willock starting ahead of Anderson but I’m sure Anderson will also get some minutes too as Willock hasn’t looked anywhere near match fit yet.

    Certainly do remember that.
My Dad. Get yourself to the shop and see if the Pinks are in.
There would be half a dozen folks waiting as the string was cut on the bundle.
Just now and again if you left it too late they ran out.

    Great win for Norwich.
Just about means that lot from down the road cannot make the play offs.
That will be at least 8 years outside the Prem.

A shame in just one sense – 7up had a canny ring to it.

There is a line of thought that as Longstaff offers energy and not technical ability, that he would not be the type of substitute you need when bringing a player on to change the game. Hence with limited options he starts.
