Lake Geneva on Montreux was mind blowing. The massive lake with its calm water and grand background with rolling land made a picturesque sight. Montreux promenade with manmade features and eye-catching landscape was very attractive. A walk along the promenade was so soothing and relaxing. Most importantly the air was so fresh and exhilarating. The 19th century peddle steamers added extra attraction with their vintage appearance taking us back in time. All the large lakes make magnificent pictures but Lake Geneva stretching to Montreux was extraordinarily beautiful.

Famous landmark of Geneva which is a must see. It is nothing special on its own but it is set on a scenic spot with the beautiful & picturesque Lake Geneva surrounding it with the Swiss Alps as the backdrop. This is a great place for a walk anytime of the year.

A historic gothic cathedral in the heart of Geneva which provides gorgeous views of the town and lake. As the cathedral is located at the top of a hill getting there involves walking through inclines and stairs. But it's all worth as the cathedral is an architectural gem. It's free to enter and you can take photos inside. The entry is on the opposite side to the city.

If you are a watch lover, then this is the place for you.
The museum exhibits all of the Patak Phillipe watches ever made. It gives you an appreciation for watches and the intricate attention to details given to every single watch.
We didn't opt for the audio guide as we were short on time but a good half day visit, especially for a rainy day.

Got there early, the reception was open. Scanned a QR code to make my reservation on the 10:30 guided tour.

Great experience, the tour was led by a guy with a PhD in particle physics. Very informative.

Get there before 9 to snag the first guided tour of the day. Easy to get to on the 18 tram.

A wide variety of trees and flowers in multiple colors at the heart of the city of Geneva. A magnificent, soothing, exotic and magical park where you can also have a picnic.
There are animals there: deer, goats, ducks, pink flamingos
    It’s a must-see place for nature lovers!

Very interesting to see this famous complex of buldings from inside and learn more about history and the United Nations. The guides were great, humorous nice ladies, however the procedure to obtain permission to enter the aerea is overly complicated. Entrance fee is low, but as its often booekd out, you have to schedule several months before. Group visits see to be easier to get.

A brilliant museum on so many levels. Moving exhibits telling some grim tales. Beautifully laid out. Excellent audioguide which is included in the 15CHF entrance price

We spent a couple of hours in here looking at the displays of the posed animals in as natural a habitat as you could expect. They range from real looking to just a little weird but while not London Natural History Museum good it is still an interesting way to spend an hour or so.

In a city as expensive as Geneva somewhere free like here is certainly not to be overlooked.

A quirky restaurant, extremely popular with the locals, on a long jetty on lake Geneva.

Hearty portions of comfort food and well priced oysters to boot.

There are outdoor seats for dining in good weather and an indoor area with a blazing log fire for dining in bad weather.

I tried and thoroughly enjoyed both options.

    Definitely worth a visit.

With accommodation close by we saw this grand space many times.

Always busy, it has numerous cafes and restaurants, many with ample outdoor seating. Large umbrellas and coverings are in place in case of less clement weather.

An impressive fountain is a centrepiece. A circular basin is topped by an ornate column. A garland of colourful flora is an added attractive aspect.

It's an old family home turned into a museum. Some neat items, but what's neater is the house itself. The basement where the rich family did business is impressive.

The coin exhibit is in French only. Still cool.
