We walked through the park along the side of the river. There were plenty of benches a great cafe with inside and outside seating and two mini golf courses.

Great walking paths and lovely views out to sea.

Of course, parts of the history of the forest-rich landscape are presented. Missed perhaps a little more about the rich industrial history of the countryside. Fine collections of donated fabric and Swedish art. Pedagogical presented in different eras and styles. The ferry departs from Sodra Skeppsbron in central Gavle several times each day and it takes about 40 min to reach Limon. There is a small cafe close to the berth, which is also where the path that goes across the island begins. The church was built in 1654 after a medieval church was burnt down. The bell tower wasn't completed until the late 18th century. Because of the difficult ground conditions, the tower leans several degrees.

When sunny weather, a small kiosk offers ice cream, coffee, soft drinks and crisps, at 12 noon to 5 pm from end of June until beginning of August.
