A recap of the best and most memorable Friends one-liners

On 6 May 2024, the iconic American sitcom Friends completed 20 years of its series finale. A critically acclaimed sitcom that propelled several of its actors to cult status and made the characters they essayed unforgettable in the hearts of millions around the world, Friends continues to be the toast of the Internet for some of the best one-liners ever spoken on television.

The show’s fame has been such that in 2021, the prayers of millions of fans were answered when the official Friends Instagram account posted that the filming for a reunion special had been wrapped up. Fans of the immensely popular sitcom had been waiting for a long time for the reunion to take place. The special was eventually aired on 27 May 2021.

The reunion brought together the original cast, who appeared as themselves and not their beloved characters since it was not a Friends episode.

Nevertheless, fans got to see Jennifer Aniston (who played Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani) and Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) once again. They were joined by series creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman and host James Corden.

A starry guest list comprising industry icons such as David Beckham, BTS, Justin Bieber, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt among others, were also part of the reunion special.

While fans are surely excited about the 20th anniversary of the sitcom’s conclusion, everyone will be missing Perry. The charming actor passed away on 28 October 2023 leaving millions of Chandler Bing fans heartbroken.
