SEBRING, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Frances Elizabeth Smith Fisher, 97 of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at McKinley Healthcare Center in Canton.

Frances was born on November 8, 1924 in Rendville, Ohio to the late Bishop Vinton Leroy and Lydia Belle (Goins) Smith.

Frances was a faithful member of Apostolic Holiness Church since 1955 and loved the Lord and her church family.

Frances came to Canton at the age of 17 and soon after married Jesse, whom she had known since childhood.

She worked at Timken Co., Hoover Co. and Belden Brick.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, playing the piano at home, driving around to see the fall foliage and planting and tending to her flowers. Above all she enjoyed her role as mother and grandmother and cherished the time she spent with her family.

Frances is survived by her children Renee Pinkerton, Vivian (Ron) Cindia, Roger Fisher and Beverly (Jeff) Stiner; a sister Marjorie Alexander; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and a stepgrandson.

Besides her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse L. Fisher; children, Etta Sue, Mary Louise and Brenda Watkins; brothers, Edward and Vinton Smith; sisters, Margaret and Lenora and four grandchildren.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Frances will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Stanley Herzog officiating. Friends and family will be received the hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
