Frances Lillian Reid

Frances Lillian Reid, 97, of Rawlings and formerly of Midland, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, at Stonerise Nursing Home, Keyser, W.Va.
Born on Jan. 31, 1925, in Midland, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Savage and Frances Cleveland (Conaway) Savage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Reid in 1987 and three siblings, John Edwin Savage, Colleen Gordon, and Thelma Harclerode.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Frances was a homemaker and attended God's Ark of Safety, Frostburg.
She was a 63-year member of Mountain Chapter 15 Order of the Eastern Star, Frostburg.
She is survived by her children, Karen Brant and husband, James, of LaVale, Lana Bittinger and husband, Ricky, of Rawlings, and John Reid and wife, Betty, of Midland; six grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Herath, Christine (Tyler) Wharton, Brittany Brant, Jamie (Jackie) Bittinger, Brandi Troutman and John (Monika) Reid; 19 great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Jazzlyn, Zion, Azalee, Lazarus, Zorin, Zadie, Landon, Nic, Kailon, Harley, Bryson, Mason, Branson, Stetson, Arianna, John, Luke and Cole; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her little black poodle, Maggie.
Friends will be received at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022, from noon to 2 p.m.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Everett Spence officiating.
Interment will be held in Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

June - December

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
