- alessandro mItaly2 contributionsjust ask the Tourist Information centre for a guided (and free) tour of the castle.. that the best way to appreciate this castle full of life.Written January 4, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FedefederivFossano, Italy488 contributionsIt is even more beautiful than the cathedral. It is full of history, details, wonderful paintings and statues. The altar is wonderful and the columns are works of art. Volunteers will be there during the Summer weekends for free short guided tours to tourists. If you are in town, do not miss this beautiful jewel!Written April 1, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BethCagnolParis, France174 contributionsWe spent out wedding anniversary in Fossano and stayed at the impressive Palazzo Righini. We were lucky to be able to see the Wednesday morning market which is incredibly large with all sorts of vendors selling everything imaginable: incredible food, fruits and vegetables, local delights, clothes, fabrics, toys, and even gardening tools. The old town is easy to walk around and a short walk from the main train station. There are plenty of wonderful little boutiques on the main street open in the morning and afternoon (closed during lunch). The covered sidewalks are a welcomed relief from the hot summer sun. The restaurants are incredibly affordable too. The first week of August offers open air, professional classical music concerts in the square by Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. We ate dinner at the Vineria in Piazzetta restaurant whose very kind owner hauled a table and chairs outside for us to sit and watch the open-air concert in the square while we dined on a 15eur-per-person three-course meal including water and wine. Unforgettable!!!Written August 7, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- FedefederivFossano, Italy488 contributionsThe Cathedral is magnificent. One expert of art could spend hours admiring all the details and the allegories hidden inside this jewel. It is loved by its citizens so much that, during the Midnight Mass on the 24th December, some of them dress up Medieval costumes to give life to a "Renaissance Mass".Written October 4, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FedefederivFossano, Italy488 contributionsThere is an impressive selection of paintings in this museums. It's a jump back in the past of the Christian story of Fossano and the effort made in keeping the museum running is just impressive and remarkable. The knowledge and the passion shown by the people working there are top. Every group of visitors always walks out of there happy!Written December 27, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
