The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor has been a hot commodity since the day FoMoCo revealed the range-topping wild horse. Available in limited quantities for its first model year, the fortified, high-performance off-roader is due to launch later this summer, and all first model year orders have already been spoken for, as sources familiar with the matter have informed Ford Authority that the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor is completely spoken for.
This news doesn’t come as a huge surprise given the fact that Ford gave first dibs for the Bronco Raptor to existing Bronco reservation holders whose SUVs have yet to be built or that had not yet taken delivery of their vehicle. What’s more, reservations for the Bronco Raptor opened the same day that the model was announced, leaving those without an existing Bronco reservation little to no wiggle room to reserve a first model year Bronco Raptor.
As the range-topping high-performance off-road variant of the sixth-generation Bronco, the Bronco Raptor boasts a host of upgraded components both internally and externally. Riding on the same Ford T6 Platform as the regular Bronco the Bronco Raptor is powered by Ford’s 3.0L EcoBoost V6 rated at 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque.
The boosted six is backed exclusively by Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission. A true dual exhaust setup with active valves allows owners to modulate how the range-topping SUV sounds.
The Bronco Raptor also features a host of suspension upgrades that enable it to have even higher levels of performance including Ford’s High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) system with Live Valve technology, beefed-up Dana differentials, and 37×12.50R17LT BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires. As a result, the Bronco Raptor rides noticeably wider and higher than any other Bronco, courtesy of the aforementioned taller tires and suspension upgrades, along with a much wider track.
The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor joins other sold out Ford vehicles like the 2022 Ford Super Duty, as Ford Authority reported last month, the Ford Mustang Mach-E – for which Ford has cut off retail orders, as well as the Ford Bronco, as we reported back February, and the Ford Maverick, as we reported in January.

Why are they not producing any 2 door Broncos?? I’m rolling up on my one year reservation/order date. Last email I received was in December saying my order would be on the first production of 2022??? Come on FORD stop this BS!
To all you optimistic young minds of mush. Have you not learned anything or are you just so glass half full that you need to be medicated? I have been waiting since Sept. 2020 for my build date. Do the math. 21 months I have been waiting for my Bronco to be built. How long do you think it will take to build your Raptor? 2 to 3 years I’ll bet. Yeah Ford will force a couple out the door just to keep you on the fish line but 2 to 3 years based on history.

All the Raptors will be sitting next to all the Broncos on Puke mountain for years! Ford should be ashamed! But their not! $$$$$$$$$$$$$
I have had a high end bronco for years now, ordered in the first month and they can’t seem to get that delivered to me yet they can make a new model and sell it out and start delivering ahead of my order, I don’t even have a vin yet and my dealer has a priority code 10 on it and is a high volume dealer. Ford I have been loyal, i own two of your trucks right now but I am very disappointed – this is not how you treat customers
In this article, this statement isn’t correct as quoted from above:

That statement is Not true. Majority of Bronco Raptor orders went to existing 1st day (July 13, 2020) “Bronco” reservation holders that did Not have their Bronco order yet built. We are not taking cuts ahead of you, instead we were given the opportunity to switch models as a thank you for patiently waiting. There are a some Bronco Raptors to be built for charity fundraisers, and a few dealers with large Raptor sales that got a dealer allocation… but very few.
Gotta love it when, instead of giving praise for making something truly new, fun, and exciting that no one else has made, people bash Ford for problems well beyond their control. If all of the pandemic, semiconductor, and other shortages had never happened and everything didn’t suddenly become more expensive, the Bronco and Bronco Raptor would likely have been released in 2020 and all of the first and second year orders would be fulfilled. What I am trying to say is this: stop whining about how the auto company is the problem. Shortages are affecting every company across every product line, and the Bronco is a brand new model, which makes things even harder because there is no backlog of parts. Just be happy that models like this exist at all, because the auto industry as a whole is moving faster and faster toward soulless econoboxes and bland crossovers.
Certain Broncos look great, But you can’t order, you can’t buy. I have a Ranger ordered since February and a F 150 Raptor also, too slow. We used to build our own chips, Ford do it again.
